Looks like the kids version of the letterboxing event at Huntley
Meadows last year went well as the new Parktakes magazine is now
listing one for adults!
Here's the blurb:
Letterboxing in Natural Places
(Adults) 1-3pm September 28th Huntley Meadows Visitors Center
703-768-2525
Letterboxing is a great way to explore natural areas. Participants
will create a stamp, then search out letterboxes planted within the
park. Sponsored by the friends of Huntley Meadows Park.
Reservations Required - $5

Sounds like fun. We should all attend and have a large gathering. I
haven't been back since June 24, 2000. Maybe I can find the the "bat
tree". :)
